/>

These are some "H" style Hinges I recently made, I'm currently working on tooling to make more sizes available, these are approximately 13 1/4" long x 1/4" thick, the pins are 1/2" diameter, you can see in the photos that I did some hot chisel work to make the pin barrels decorative and also the hot chisel trim line along the edges of the blades, the flare or flame tips are hammered to shape, these are very strong hinges, the screw holes are 5/16"

Soon I will have an "HL" hinge available to match and will be sold as a 3 Hinge set, the photo above will actually be the center hinge and the "HL"'s will go at the top and bottom of the door

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This is a slide bolt I recently made, but this is no ordinary slide bolt

This slide bolt is actually designed to be functional from both sides of double hung doors, as you will see in the next photo

The doors this bolt was intended for are for a bathroom entry that has two 16" door panels that swing out, the owner wanted to avoid adding top and bottom cane bolts to secure one side for obvious reasons, with cane bolts he would have needed to undo a latch and both cane bolts to be able to walk freely in and out and then latch them all back closed when done

So I came up with this design, It is actually a double sided slide bolt that is accessible from both sides, I also added a security feature seen in the photo below

The security pin will allow you to lock the door from the inside, a matching knock out pin (not shown) was also provided in the event of an emergency, the security pin can be easily "knocked out" from the front side of the door

Thank you Richard for allowing me to be of service to you

Please check back to couldn't have been more than 5 years old when I first set my eyes on a real anvil, an old man standing by the fire waiting for the iron to get hot, in a sudden motion he whisked the bright glowing molten bar from the fire and laid it upon the anvil then quickly striking it, with a firm grip he swings his hammer over and over, sometimes tapping the anvil between blows, as sparks and bits of scale fell away, the bar began to take shape....

Today, almost 30 something years later, I have become that man with 20 years of experience at applying the trade skills of the old blacksmiths, collecting and crafting various tools that allow me to recreate the early American period style hardware that is mostly found on old barns and houses from colonial times.

Over the years I have crafted a multitude of products for builders, restorers and homeowners, I have had the pleasure to serve clients from California to Maine, Washington state to Florida even Barbados, Hawaii and New Zealand.

I work with many sizes and shapes of bar stock, pipe, tubing and sheetmetal

Some of the products I have made
Garden Arbors, Trellises, Benches, Gates,
Fireplace Tools, Screens, Kitchen Pot Racks,
Hooks and Hangers, Strap Hinges, Thumb Latches, Door Pulls, Shutter Dogs, Awnings, Patio Furniture, and more.D

In the mid 90's I dabbled in the art of forge welding Damascus Steel, also called pattern welding, and shaping billets for knife blades and Swords, unfortunately I'm unable to provide these for now, at some point in the near future I will be able to pursue it again

I'll add more here soon....<div
